ARTIST STATEMENT
Painting is my passion. When I paint, I feel that I am being transported to my very own universe where only colors and feelings exist. There are many things that I can only communicate through my paintings. Somehow, it is much easier to express myself to other people with my artwork.

I want the people who see my work to become interested in the deeper meaning of my art. I want them to perceive and begin to understand what lies beneath every one of my artworks. I want to draw the viewers in to show them that every line and every color in my work adds up to more than just a simple painting.

I believe that my work somehow gives people the satisfaction of finding themselves inside the paintings when they look at them. Once there, if they allow themselves, they can find many surprises in the colors and textures. That ability to allow the viewers to immerse themselves directly into the work makes the paintings speak for themselves without the need for further analysis or explanation.

DECLARACION DE LA ARTISTA
Cuando pinto siento transportarme a mi propio universo donde sólo existen sentimientos y colores. Hay muchas cosas que solamente puedo comunicar a través de mis pinturas. Por alguna razón en muchas ocasiones es más fácil para mi expresarme con los demás por medio de mis obras.

Quisiera que aquellos que ven mis trabajos pudieran interesararse en el sentido profundo de mis obras. Me gustaría que el público pudiera adentrarse en mis pinturas y que una vez allí las pudieran sentir y percibir aún mejor. Mi intención es hacer que mis obras atraigan al público para mostrarles que cada linea y cada color han sido combinadas para crear algo que va más allá de una simple pintura.

Creo que mi trabajo de cierto modo otorga a la gente la sensación de descrubrirse a sí mismos dentro de las obras. Si el público se detiene para observarlas y se dejan llevar por ellas éstos encontrarán muchas sorpresas en los colores y texturas. Siento que mis pinturas y mi obra en general tiene voz propia que permite que el público se adentre en ellas y las entienda sin necesidad de explicaciones mayores.
